HSBC is providing a business advice service, staffed by self made business people, to help budding entrepreneurs get their businesses off to a flying start.
The service is available to anyone, whether a customer of HSBC or not. Called “Up and Running,” the service can be accessed at www.upandrunning.hsbc.co.uk where you can register to receive weekly email updates to help steer you through the start up process.
Each email includes a series of easy-to-follow guides, providing advice on subjects ranging from market research and development strategy to writing a business plan and raising finance. Other topics include researching the market, evaluating the competition, pricing, marketing and how to choose a winning business name.
HSBC head of business banking, Simon Wainwright, says: “Whether you want to find out how to turn an idea into a viable venture, or simply need information about how to run your business more effectively ‘Up and Running’ is there to provide support and advice.”
